Looks Wet & Wild In Victoria

I had a Public Community Meeting to Chair on Monday night and we had around 50 people in attendance. There were a couple of contentious items on the Agenda which sparked some lively (if not inane) argument.

People naturally loved it and it was great to have a couple of people come up to me later and congratulate me on the manner in which the meeting was conducted. I must admit it took a little time to get to sleep that night.

Still warm sunny (and dry) days as the photo here of our very dry front lawn shows. We have a top forecast of 27 degrees today. We badly need a drop of rain, unlike Melbourne which seems to be getting lashings of it today.

We no longer bother watering the front lawn, instead we top the pool up a little during these dry periods of time. The pool will need another 15 minute top up tomorrow but hopefully storms and showers over the weekend will fill it right up again.

We caught up with another couple late yesterday afternoon for 'drinks'. They have been here on the Coast for around 12 months and Ian has joined the Community Association to help out and get to meet new people. It was a lot of fun and we shall be catching up with them again.

Everything else is going along as expected, daily bike rides, morning swims in the pool and then there is plenty of cricket on Pay TV for me to watch. We even have the Australia vs Sth Africa series live on Pay TV tonight.

I even found if you go to the Foxsports website, click on the cricket link and eventually through to Domestic Cricket and "Live Streaming" you watch the Sheffield Shield matches live on your PC. The picture isn't the best but still it is better than nothing.

Bottles were washed yesterday and I have bottling on the agenda for tomorrow.
